Re-launch

Fair Maid is back in the water where she belongs.

All fixed up.  Antifoul was tidied up prior to launch.

In she goes...

And doesn't she fly at half throttle with a clean bottom!

Resting at her mooring.

Haul-out Update

Prop shaft drilled and tapped for zinc, engine started - had an issue with the starter motor, so had to pull it out, test it, grease the solenoid shaft, and re-fit it. Also got some topcoat paint on the transom repair, between rain showers...

Top sides painted

And planks at transom screwed in and caulked, with some epoxy filler for fairing.

Haul-out continues.

Underwater primer and antifoul on.  Screw prop-speed done.  Transom and bow repairs nearly complete.  Cabin top and sides stripped, and templates for the new ply veneer for the sides cut out.  Topsides stripped mostly to bare wood, and primed.  First top coat on the top sides.  Engine fitted, exhaust system replaced, anti-siphon valve fitted to raw-water intake line.  Some deck fittings removed for re-bedding.
